Installation

Craftify is a data pack, so installation means dropping it into a world's datapacks/ folder. No plugins or server restarts of the software itself are required.

Requirements

RequirementDetail
EditionMinecraft Java Edition
Version26.2
Data pack formatmin_format [107, 1] / max_format 107
Server softwareAny — vanilla, Paper, Spigot, or Fabric

Install Steps

  1. Download or clone the Craftify repository.

  2. Make sure pack.mcmeta and the data/ folder sit at the top level of the pack folder (not nested inside an extra subfolder).

  3. Copy the pack into your world's datapacks directory:

    <world>/datapacks/Craftify/
    ├── pack.mcmeta
    └── data/

For a multiplayer server this is usually world/datapacks/; for single-player it's inside the specific world save.

  4. Load it:

    • Already-running world: run /reload in-game.
    • New or restarted world: it loads automatically on world start.
  5. Confirm it's active with /datapack list — file/Craftify should appear under the enabled packs.

tip

You can also package the pack as a .zip (with pack.mcmeta and data/ at the root of the zip) and drop the zip straight into datapacks/.

First-Run Setup

When the pack loads, its craftify:load function re-registers any existing warp points so they survive restarts (see Warp System).

To apply the server's recommended gamerules, run the setup function once:

/function craftify:setup

This sets difficulty, disables fire tick, sets the sleeping percentage to 0, and applies the other gamerules described in Moderation & Admin. It is not run automatically, so you stay in control of your world's rules.

Updating

  1. Remove the old Craftify folder (or zip) from datapacks/.
  2. Drop in the new version.
  3. Run /reload.

Warp points are stored in world data (storage craftify:warp_registry) and in-world markers, so they persist across updates.

Uninstalling

  1. Delete the Craftify folder from datapacks/.
  2. Run /reload.

Custom recipes and advancements stop being granted immediately. Any warp markers and force-loaded chunks created while the pack was active remain until removed manually.
