Commands
The base command is /districtwarden, with aliases /dw and /marketwarden. All three behave identically; the examples below use /dw.
| Command | Permission | Description |
|---|---|---|
/dw help | districtwarden.use | List the commands available to you |
/dw status | districtwarden.status | Status of your own properties |
/dw status <property> | districtwarden.status | Status of one property by id |
/dw shops [property] | districtwarden.shops | List shops recorded on a property |
/dw inspect <property> | districtwarden.admin.inspect | Full staff view: record, shops and audit history |
/dw reconcile | districtwarden.admin.reconcile | Re-read providers and update the store |
/dw reload | districtwarden.admin.reload | Re-read config.yml |
/dw archive-shop <shop-id> <reason> | districtwarden.admin.shops.archive | Save a shop's settings, then remove it |
/dw archives | districtwarden.admin.shops.archive | List saved shop archives |
/dw restore-shop <archive-id> [world x y z] | districtwarden.admin.shops.restore | Restore an archive once, at the saved or a chosen location |
/dw setcenter <radius> | districtwarden.admin.region | Set the managed radius for your world, centred where you stand |
/dw test [scan|simulate|warden|border] | districtwarden.admin.debug | Diagnostics and testing aids |
Tab completion is available for commands and for property and shop ids — press Tab rather than typing a long id by hand.
The console can run /dw status <property> and /dw shops <property> but not their bare forms, since the console owns nothing.
See Permissions for who holds each node by default.
Player commands
/dw status
Shows the status of every property you own, one line each, as property-id: STATUS. With no properties tracked for you, it says so. Add a property id to look up a single property (yours or anyone's).
/dw shops [property]
Lists the shops recorded on your properties, or on one property if you give its id. Each line shows the shop id, what it trades, whether it buys or sells, and its state (ACTIVE, EMPTY or FROZEN), with a summary count at the end.
A shop only appears once DistrictWarden has scanned it, so a brand-new shop may not show until the next scan, a /dw reconcile, or a restart.
Staff commands
/dw inspect <property>
The full staff view of one property: the stored property record, a per-state breakdown of its shops, and the ten most recent audit entries for it.
/dw reconcile
Re-reads every claim from GriefDefender and every shop from QuickShop-Hikari and updates the database. Reconciliation otherwise happens only at server start, so run this after:
- players create, transfer or abandon claims, or create and delete shops;
- you change
worldsorproperties.areas(following a/dw reloador restart).
It reports what it synced, or tells you no providers are available.
The GriefDefender API is only safe to touch on the main thread, so /dw reconcile runs there. On a district with many thousands of claims it holds the server tick for the length of the scan — prefer running it off-peak.
/dw reload
Re-reads config.yml and rebuilds everything derived from it, including the managed worlds and the property-size mapping.
A reload changes how future reads classify properties; it does not rewrite records already stored. Follow it with /dw reconcile to re-apply changed sizes to existing properties. If the file is invalid the reload fails, explains why, and leaves the previous configuration in force — the server keeps running on the last known-good settings. storage.yml is not reloaded; database changes need a restart.
Shop lifecycle commands
/dw archive-shop, /dw archives and /dw restore-shop handle removing and restoring shops with explicit staff approval. They are covered in full on the Shop Lifecycle page.
/dw setcenter
Sets a circular managed region for the world you are standing in: the centre is your current block position, and the radius is the number of blocks you pass. Once a world already has a region, the radius is optional — omit it to move the centre while keeping the current radius.
It writes the region into config.yml (worlds.regions.<world>), reloads, and reminds you to run /dw reconcile so any properties now outside the circle are dropped. See Managing a radius instead of a whole world.
/dw test
A staff diagnostics and testing aid, gated on districtwarden.admin.debug:
/dw test— prints which providers are available, the enabled and disabled worlds, any configured regions, the tracked-property count, and the lifecycle timing. Read-only./dw test scan— runs the stale-shop scan immediately instead of waiting for the daily one, and reports how many shops were scanned and warned./dw test simulate— previews an empty-shop warning: plays the inspection warden where you stand and shows the exact in-game notice an owner would get. Nothing is recorded, no shop is changed, and no Discord or MineMail notice is sent./dw test warden— spawns the inspection warden at your location on demand./dw test border— draws the configured radius for your world in particles for a few seconds, so you can see the boundary in game.
