Player Guide

Everything a player needs to know to play QuestKeeper, without the admin/setup details.

What is the daily quest?

Each server has one active quest per day, shown by right-clicking the QuestKeeper NPC. Every player can complete it once. See Quest Types for what kinds of quests can appear.

What do I do?

  1. Find the NPC your server has set up as the Quest Keeper.
  2. Right-click it to see today's quest — what to do and how much is needed.
  3. Do the quest. Depending on the type, that's either:
    • Turn it in — gather the items or herd the mobs, then right-click the NPC again to hand them over (Item Delivery and Mob Delivery quests).
    • Do it automatically — explore, fight, craft, trade, or collect as required; the quest completes the moment you meet the condition, no turn-in needed (event quests).
  4. Watch for a timer. Some quests are timed — a BossBar counts down (Quest Expires In: MM:SS) once you've seen the quest. Finish before it runs out or the quest fails for the day. See Timed Quests.
  5. Get your reward. Completing the quest awards a Quest Point and extends your streak.

Points and streaks

  • Every completed quest awards 1 Quest Point, no matter the quest type.
  • Completing a quest on consecutive days builds your streak. Miss a day and it resets to 1 — unless you have a Streak Shield (see below).
  • Only one completion counts per day; rerolled quests don't cost you a completion you already earned.

Spending Quest Points

Open /qshop to spend points on:

  • Teleport Scrolls — teleport to another player (if they've consented, where ConsentPvP is installed) or to a warp.
  • Streak Shields — automatically protects your streak if you miss a day.
  • Timed Quest Extension — buy extra time on a timed quest's countdown.
  • Chat Colors — a time-limited colored chat pass.
  • Completion Effects — a visual effect that plays when you finish a quest.

Full details: Quest Shop.

Tips

  • Quests target a 5–30 minute completion window for an average player — you shouldn't need rare gear or a dragon kill to finish one.
  • If a quest looks impossible on your server (e.g. a biome or structure that doesn't exist nearby), ask a staff member to /qk reroll it.
  • Biome-collection quests only count items gathered naturally from the target biome — player-placed blocks don't count.
