Player Guide

Everything a player needs to take part in a RallyPoint event. There is really only one thing to do.

Opt in before the event starts

Type this in chat, before the event goes live:

/rally optin

That is the whole job. If you are not opted in when the event starts, you will be standing wherever you happen to be while everyone else is on the tour.

You only need to do it once. Your choice is remembered, even if the server restarts.

What actually happens to you

When the host moves the event to the next stop, you get a short countdown on your screen: a number ticking down, with a sound. Then you are teleported. You do not click anything, and you cannot decline that one rally, so the countdown is a good moment to stop what you are doing and stand still.

When you land:

• You see the name of the stop on your screen and hear a chime.
• You are spread out a few blocks from everyone else, so the crowd is not standing in one pile.
• If you were in a boat, in a minecart, or on a horse, you are taken off it first. Your ride stays where it was.

The host may also turn on stage mode for a stop. While it is on you are either put into spectator mode or held in place, so nobody wanders in front of the camera. It is switched off afterwards and you go straight back to how you were.

If a rally is called off during the countdown, you are told so and nobody moves.

Joining late

You can opt in in the middle of an event. You are picked up at the next stop automatically, including if you opt in during a countdown.

If you would rather not wait:

/rally catchup

That sends you to wherever the event currently is. If you log in and see a message saying you missed a rally, that is the command it is pointing you at.

Getting home afterwards

At the end, the host runs /rally return and everyone is put back exactly where they were standing before the event picked them up. You do not need to do anything, and you do not need to write down where you were.

If you log off before the end you are still covered: you are sent back the next time you log in.

Leaving the list

/rally optout

You are left where you are during rallies from then on. If you had already been rallied, /rally return still sends you home, so opting out does not strand you.

Your commands

Command	What it does
/rally optin	Marks you as ready to teleport. Do this before the event.
/rally optout	Takes you off the list.
/rally status	Tells you whether you are opted in or out.
/rally catchup	Sends you to the current stop if you joined late or missed one.
/rally help	Lists the commands you can use.

/rp works as a shorter alias for /rally.
