Player Guide

Custom recipes, loot changes, the warp system, and first-join features.

What Craftify Adds

Craftify enhances the standard Minecraft experience in ways that feel natural and balanced. There is no op gear, no pay-to-win, and no game-breaking mechanics — just a refined survival experience that removes frustrating limitations.

  • Crafting recipes — items previously unobtainable by crafting (Elytra, Tridents, Sponges, Chainmail) are now craftable using appropriate late-game materials.
  • Loot tables — certain mobs and structures drop better or more relevant loot, including player heads on PvP kills and the dragon egg on Ender Dragon death.
  • Warp system — a warp book allows teleportation to server-configured warp points, including a random warp option.
  • First join — new players receive a welcome pack and a helpful message when they first find diamonds.
  • Quality of life — the bee count in a nest/hive is shown when you break it, and the Ender Dragon's death is announced server-wide.

Custom Recipes

All recipes below are accessible in a standard crafting table or crafting grid unless noted otherwise. Open the in-game recipe book to see exact ingredients once you have the required materials.

Tip
Open your in-game recipe book (the green book icon in your crafting table) to browse all available recipes. Craftify recipes appear once the relevant materials are in your inventory.
🪵
Logs → Wood Planks (×4)

All log types now yield 4 planks instead of 3, improving early-game wood efficiency.

🎒

Craftable in survival. Allows stacking multiple item types into a single inventory slot.

🕷️
Fermented Spider Eye

Works with both red and brown mushrooms. No more hunting for the right mushroom type.

🐝

Craft a dispenser by placing a bow around a dropper in the crafting grid.

🦋

The dragon egg can be crafted into two end crystals, giving it a practical use.

Craft bottles o' enchanting using standard materials. Useful for XP banking.

🪨
Gilded Blackstone

🪨
Flint → Gravel

Reverse the gravel-to-flint conversion to reclaim gravel for building or trades.

🍎
Enchanted Golden Apple

Craftable with gold blocks and an apple. A powerful late-game crafting goal for PvP or health emergencies.

🥩
Rotten Flesh → Rabbit Hide

Convert rotten flesh into rabbit hide — useful for leather crafting or villager trades.

🧽
Sponge

Craft sponges in survival. Extremely useful for draining bodies of water or ocean monuments.

🔱
Trident

Tridents are now craftable. No more relying on rare Drowned drops — great for server economies.

🧊
Uncraft Packed Ice / Blue Ice

Break packed ice back into regular ice, and blue ice back into packed ice — reversible ice tiers.

🦴
Bones → Bone Block

Craft bone blocks directly from bones without needing to convert to bone meal first.

Note
High-tier recipes (Elytra, Trident, Enchanted Golden Apple) intentionally require late-game materials to preserve challenge and progression.

Tip
The Ender Dragon's death is announced to all online players in chat. If you are in the End when the dragon dies, you will also see the egg appear as a loot drop rather than spawning on the central pillar.

Warp System

Warp points are configured by server admins. The warp book lets you travel to any registered destination instantly.

Getting the Warp Book

You may receive the warp book:

  • Automatically as part of your first-join welcome pack
  • From an admin or server shop
  • Via a loot chest (if configured by your server)

Random Warp

The random warp feature teleports you to a random warp point from the server's registered list — useful for exploration or servers with a "random start" mode.

Note
Teleportation is instant. Ensure you are in a safe location before warping to avoid fall damage on arrival.

First Join Features

Welcome Pack

New players automatically receive a welcome pack on their first join. The exact items are configured by your server admin, but typically include starter food, tools, and a warp book.

Diamond Warning

The first time you pick up diamonds, Craftify displays a message reminding you of the server's rules. This fires once per character and is purely informational.

Tip
The diamond warning only fires once. It does not restrict gameplay in any way.

Tips

  • Rotten flesh — convert rotten flesh into rabbit hide to make leather early without trading.
  • Dragon egg — save it for crafting two end crystals, or aim for the dragon egg recipe.
  • Bee nests — break them with Silk Touch to see the population count before the nest breaks.
  • Ice reversibility — blue ice and packed ice are now reversible. Uncraft any excess after a build.
  • PvP heads — player heads make great trophies or decorative blocks for builds.
  • Chainmail — useful as a mid-tier set between iron and diamond during early game.
  • Elytra — the recipe is intentionally demanding to keep it as a meaningful late-game milestone.

FAQ

Do I need to do anything to get the new recipes?

No. All custom recipes are available automatically once the datapack is loaded. Open a crafting table and place the ingredients.

Why isn't a recipe showing up in my recipe book?

Some recipes only appear once you have picked up at least one of the required ingredients. Try collecting the key materials first.

Is Craftify available in singleplayer?

Yes. Craftify is a standard datapack and works in both singleplayer and multiplayer. Install it in your singleplayer world's datapacks/ folder.

Will the Ender Dragon always drop the egg?

Yes — with Craftify loaded, the Ender Dragon drops the dragon egg as loot on death instead of spawning it on the central bedrock pillar.

I lost my warp book. Can I get another one?

Contact a server admin. They can give you a new warp book using the datapack's admin functions.
